Veteran's Day (Remembrance Day in many other countries)

 These words are written on the Korean War Memorial in Washington, DC.




One of the most moving anti war songs is  And the Band Played Waltzing Matilda " is a song written by Scottish-born Australian singer-songwriter Eric Bogle in 1971. The song describes war as futile and gruesome, while criticizing those who seek to glorify it. 

This video is worth listening to.



Remember the fallen, and honor them, but resolve that war should be avoided whenever possible. 


Sadly, as I have aged, hate is so very much alive, caused by religion, or simply a country trying to suppress dissent, or and this is the worst: to be the most powerful.

World War  One was the most useless war that I have ever read about.
