We did have a problem in my belief that it is just as easy to put it down as lift it up, so why not leave in the position that it was in when anyone using it finished.
This opinion was not well received!
 but a solution as stated in the photo solved  the discussion (spankings changed my behavior.)
Maybe some wives might try this method to solve this little problem.
